Facebook Explains Removal Of Cheerleader Kendall Jones’ Hunting Photos

Facebook responded to yet another controversy over photos that were removed from the social network, this time in the case of Kendall Jones, a 19-year-old cheerleader from Texas Tech University, who posted several photos of animals she had shot and killed while on a safari in Zimbabwe earlier this month.

Facebook Temporarily Bans User For Spoof Of Classic Coppertone Ad Showing Daughter’s Bare Bottom

Facebook found itself in the middle of another “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” situation involving content posted to the social network, this time over a photo of a young girl’s bare backside that was posted to the Coppertone page to mimic the classic 1953 ad from the sunscreen company of a young girl’s bathing suit being pulled down by a small dog.

WORLD CUP: 60M Facebook Interactions For Brazil-Colombia, 26M For Germany-France

The Fourth of July saw some daytime fireworks in the form of two 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil quarterfinal matches, as host Brazil edged Colombia 2-1, while Germany dispatched France 1-0. According to the Facebook Data Science Team, the Brazil-Colombia match resulted in 60 million interactions (posts, comments, and likes) from 26 million Facebook users, while the Germany-France contest spurred 26 million interactions from 16 million users.
